• A collection of otherwise unknown poetry by Richard Brautigan, a world-renowned poet and author in the 60s and 70s who unfortunately, committed suicide, thus depriving us of the rest of his unwritten works.
• Essential EARLY Brautigan...a 'must have' for any appreciator of Brautigan's unique outlook on life.
• Brautigan is an author sadly lost too early in his life. I own everything I can get my hands on by him, and loan them out often. His writing style is so complicated it's simple. Makes you think.....but without really thinking. Can't explain him. Read him.
• I really think this is some of Brautigan's best poetry next to Springhill Mining Disaster. It is young and innocent, but extremely funny. This book shows how Richard's writing will advance in the years to come. I'm very glad I bought it.
• You either like Brautigan or you write thousands of words why you don't like his works! Obviously, I like him. About 60% of this work can stand next to his later writings, the rest is a poet trying to find his voice and technique. This work is enjoyble to read as literature and as an historical document.
• These previously unpublished works will give readers an insight into Richard Brautigan's earliest voice as a writer. Combined with the early chapters from Jublee Hithchiker that describe his painful childhood, the reader has an opportunity to better understand the man, his life and ultimately his suicide.
